The Desktop Tool corresponds to the CAVE tool and provides the same functionality. It makes use of a lot of the same objects, including command objects. As a result, if a command's behavior is changed, this change will be reflected in both tools. One difference is that the Desktop Tool has text fields. The text fields are connected to the same command as the sliders. In fact, the dependencies in the interface mediator tie each slider to a textfield. If the textfield is changed, the slider moves to the new position. Similarly, if the slider is moved, the textfield's value is updated.
