Common Display
Each exhibit consists of a common display and several consoles.
Albert Khakshour was responsible for the common display. It makes use
of a top-down projection onto a table top and camera-based tracking
of physical symbols that users can move around the table. The result
is a transparent, multi-user interface for displaying information and
probing the underlying datasets using virtual "tools". For instance, one
of the "tools" gives quantitative readouts for a particular location (elevation,
land usage, etc). Another example of a tool is a virtual magnifying glass.
