VisDuo-SX installed at WSU

A rear-projected VisDuo-SX was installed in the Computer Science Department at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. The Graphics and Imaging Lab, headed by Prof. Jing Hua, will use the system for a variety of 3D visualization projects. Pictures of the...

9 additional VisBlocks installed at Virginia Tech

9 additional VisBlocks and 6 rolling VisBlock stands were installed at the Gigapixel Lab at Virginia Tech. This brings the lab total to 18 VisBlocks and an aggregate resolution of more than 16 million pixels. The stands allow columns of VisBlocks to be easily moved about to create various planar and curved display configurations. The Gigapixel Lab, headed by Dr. Chris North, is conducting research about the human-computer interaction (HCI) issues for large-scale, high-resolution displays. The need for rapid reconfigurability of such displays for empirical research drove the development of the VisBlock product. Two VisBox-SX10 displays installed at Virginia Tech

Two VisBox-SX10 displays were installed at the computer science department at Virginia Tech. The displays feature a borderless screen mount and Infitec stereo, allowing the two units to be used together as one large immersive system. The 3DI (three-dimensional interaction) group, headed by Prof. Doug Bowman, will use the displays for their research in interaction techniques for immersive virtual environments. 3DI Group at Virginia...

VisWall-9HD installed at CCG

A VisWall-9HD was installed at the Centre for Comparative Genomics (CCG) at Murdoch University in Perth, West Australia. The display features 9 native HD projectors (1920x1080p) for an aggregate resolution of more than 18 million pixels. The display will be used to visualize the results of comparative genomic analysis. The maps that are generated have incredible detail and benefit greatly from high resolution display. In addition, the size of the display makes it ideal for small group collaboration.
