Two custom VisWall-4HD units were delivered to NCSA in Urbana, Illinois. Each display uses four HD projectors for an aggregate resolution of 3840×2160 (8.3 MPixels) and a 101″ diagonal screen size. The units are portable and only 34″ deep, allowing them to roll through a standard doorway. The Cyberenvironments and Technologies Directorate at NCSA, headed by Dr. Jim Myers will use the displays for several collaborative projects.
